Consilience Ventures Is Entering North America
Consilience Ventures announces affiliation with SAYJ Global Partners, creating a new model for early-stage investing in North America
Consilience Ventures, a dynamic start-up ecosystem that aligns the interests of investors, start-ups and professionals, has appointed Judith Iglehart and Shelley Bays of SAYJ Global Partners (San Francisco and Paris) as Co-Directors of Consilience Ventures North America.
In this newly created dual role, Judith Iglehart and Shelley Bays will develop regional private equity investor alliances in San Francisco/Silicon Valley, Austin, Chicago, NYC, Boston and Toronto initially, and later in other major cities.
Commenting on the double appointment, Consilience Ventures co-founder and Director Kevin Monserrat said: “Consilience Ventures is building out globally. We are now in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the UK and preparing Scandinavia and Middle Eastern. We welcome this affiliation with SAYJ, and welcome Shelley and Judi to our team. Their proven backgrounds in international investing, and expertise with start-ups, makes them a natural fit for our global enterprise.
“Consilience Ventures is a pioneer in removing the time-consuming obsession with fundraising for startups. Our community-based approach and equity-backed token currency helps accelerate start-up growth faster, and at a fraction of traditional business costs”.
Judith Iglehart: “Angel investing is changing. Today diversity, transparency, coinage, equity, and opening doors to younger investors are keys to success in this arena”.
Shelley Bays: “Consilience Ventures and SAYJ will build on our shared goals to change current investment models in North America. We believe the new Consilience Ventures model will appeal to a variety of US and Canadian investors and companies, and we’re eager to begin the process”.
