FAST: The Intermediary Between Public and Private Markets?
FAST, or Fungible Asset-Backed Security Token, is a novel investment vehicle that falls somewhere between traditional private equity and publicly traded securities. Unlike private companies, FASTs provide greater liquidity to investors while retaining the flexibility and control of a private investment. This makes FASTs an ideal intermediary between the private and public markets, providing investors and FAST managers with the best of both worlds.
FAST’s ability to be more liquid than private companies is one of its key advantages. This is accomplished through asset tokenization, which allows FASTs to be traded on the Consilience Group digital platform. This means that investors can exit their investments more easily, as opposed to the lengthy lock-up periods typically associated with private equity.
